Dogs Stay Free!

We are dog lovers ourselves and we fully appreciate how important it is to be able to share your holiday with your four legged family members.

We are proud that we DO NOT charge extra for dogs– we welcome four legged family members with open arms.

We recommend that Rainbow is most suited to a maximum of 2 or 3 dogs, but please do contact us to discuss your needs if you would like to bring more than this.

As a fellow dog owner for many years, we also ask that pups and young dogs under the age of 12 months wait until they are over 12 months to visit Rainbow. This is in the interests of your dog, your own sanity (and Rainbow’s chair legs!). We completely understand what it is like caring for a young pup in an unfamiliar environment. Thank you for understanding.

To look after everyone’s needs – whether it be two or four legged, we hope you don’t mind but we just ask a couple of simple things:

  • That you don’t leave your dog unattended in the chalet (to prevent your dog/s becoming distressed in an unfamiliar place).
  • That all dogs are kept under strict control on the park itself (this is a Riviere Towans Park regulation).
  • Finally, if your furry friend prefers human beds and sofa’s please can you bring your own clean blanket to lay down first (apologies for this one, but this enables us to keep the cost down for fellow dog lovers, not having to separately launder / de-hair lots of dog-hairy linens!)

Local beaches and dogs

Please note that the nearby Mexico Towans beach is dog friendly all year round (it is a short 10 minute walk North on the coastal path.

The Hayle Sands /Riviere Towans section of beach has a partial (10am-6pm) dog ban in place 1st July – 31st August (So you are free to enjoy morning and evening walks together on this stretch of beach all year round.)  Please see the Cornwall Council Website for more information.

For a map of the restrictions on the local beaches, please see page 9 of this document:

This map outlines the local restricted areas (partial ban of 10am – 6pm from the 1st July – 31st August). Outside of these times, there are no restrictions at all for dogs on the beach.
